Registered Charity No. 1107496

On Tuesday 21st November, Cherie Booth QC very kindly invited the Arrhythmia Alliance and guests to attend a private reception at Downing Street. The main purpose for this was to celebrate the success so far of the charity and to help launch a Fund-Raising Campaign to provide vital services and to generate on-going sustainable income over the coming three to five years. The outstanding work achieved so far is NOT sustainable even in the short term without financial support.

We were delighted to have had the opportunity to be part of a high profile event to promote the charity and gain support from our guests which included leading cardiologists,  patients and members of the Alliance

The Alliance has reached a very critical stage in its’ life.  Like many charities it has found start-up funding for specific, time-bound projects.  This is wonderful, however it leaves a big hole when it comes to the day-to-day funding of core activities such as the 24-hour Helpline Service offering a lifeline to individuals in great distress.  The web site received over one million hits last year – this must be maintained and regularly up-dated.  Providing information and support for patients and their families is amongst the most valuable work the Arrhythmia-Alliance does and must be continued.
