Trek Uganda
13th - 23rd October 2014
This amazing adventure takes us to Bwindi ‘The Impenetrable Forest’ in Uganda’s mountainous farsouthwestern tip where you will have the opportunity to track Mountain Gorillas. This action filled challenge starts in Mgahinga National Park where you will trek up Mount Sabinyo 3,645m one of he region’s inactive volcanoes. You will have the opportunity to get up close to another endangered species, the Golden Monkey in its natural habitat of bamboo forest. Local tribesmen will pilot dug-out canoes as we traverse Lake Mutanda and saving the best until last you trek into Bwindi ‘the impenetrable forest’ home to one of the richest ecosystems in Africa, in search of the habituated Mountain Gorilla families.
Observing Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat should be at the top of everyone’s ‘To Do List’. Only 700 Mountain Gorillas remain in the wild so opportunities to get close to these magnificent creatures are extremely limited.
Trek Uganda is open to people of all ages and from all walks of life who will come together to do something amazing.
