Join the Know Your Pulse Campaign
The Know Your Pulse campaign is brought to you by Arrhythmia Alliance (A-A), a coalition of patients, carers, medical professionals and allied professionals. These groups remain independent, however, work together under the A-A umbrella to promote timely and effective diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias.
Pu
t Pulse into Practice
A-A is promoting routine pulse checks when someone visits their GP surgery so that more people will be diagnosed and treated for cardiac arrhythmias.
Help to achieve this goal by supporting the 'Know Your Pulse' campaign.

Why should you support Know Your Pulse?

The problem…
In the UK:
- More than 2 million people are affected by an arrhythmia
- 120,000 people experience unexplained loss of consciousness each year
- 100,000 sudden cardiac deaths each year; the equivalent of 250 people each day. Sudden cardiac death leads to more deaths worldwide than breast cancer, lung cancer and AIDS combined
- 30 per cent of adults and 39 per cent of children are misdiagnosed with epilepsy when in fact they have a heart rhythm disorder
- The easiest way to detect an arrhythmia is to feel the pulse
