A-A International Roundtable at HRC 2009
The first annual A-A International Roundtable was held on 19 October 2009 at the Heart Rhythm Congress (HRC) www.heartrhythmcongress.com. The roundtable session proved a success with all participants agreeing on the benefits of international collaboration on A-A projects and campaigns to raise awareness, reduce disparities, improve the patient-doctor relationship and unify for improved health policies in Europe and other countries.
The agenda for the session included presentations by A-A National Partners: Thomas Fahraeus, in Sweden, Carlos Morais in Portugal, and Pavla Kristofova in Czech Republic, to present their efforts in establishing a national A-A in their countries.
Following the presentations, a roundtable discussion on ‘A-A 
International Collaboration’ was chaired by A-A President, A. John Camm. Discussion topics of the roundtable included the benefits of an A-A international cohesive group, objectives of the A-A international Project, establishment of an international medical advisory committee, and future collaborative efforts of A-A and EHRA (European Heart Rhythm Association).
