Arrhythmia Alliance (A-A) has evolved from a UK charity to an international alliance advocating global awareness of cardiac arrhythmias.
Today, countries around the world share many of the same challenges and priorities relating to the demand for information and support on cardiac arrhythmias. The success of A-A UK has inspired other nations to believe in the power of the Alliance. As a result, Arrhythmia Alliance Partners and Affiliates have been established internationally.
Arrhytmia Alliance Sweden – Arytmi Alliansen
During the last year the Arrhythmia Alliance in Sweden has focused on education and general information of the new guidelines for CPR. Articles have been published in newspapers written by A-A on how to perform an adequate resuscitation.
Singapore Heart Foundation: Guinness World Records for the largest CPR training session
The Singapore Heart Foundation and partner organisations achieved a Guinness World Record for the largest CPR training session at a single mass event. 7909 participants were involved, launching the nation’s first National Life Saving Day.
Arrhythmia Alliance – Argentina in the delivery of Automated External Defibrillators in San Nicolas City
As part of efforts by Arrhythmia Alliance - Argentina to achieve awareness of the population of cardiac arrhythmias, the organization participated in the donation of five (5) automated external defibrillators (AED) that a local company Ternium Siderar made to the Rotary Club of San Nicolás.
On July 10, Cecilia Correa, Executive Director of Arrhythmia Alliance - Argentina, Guillermo Quijano, President of the Rotary Club of San Nicolás Claudio Claudio Traveset and Ferrara, from the Heart Association of Northern Province of Buenos Aires and Carlos Llorente, President of the Foundation Cardio Rosario, participated in the ceremony.
Guillermo Quijano highlighted the work of Arrhythmia Alliance - Argentina and its President, Dr. Jorge González Zuelgaray for making real the donation of 5 AEDs and the efforts together to achieve one of its primary objectives, to turn the cities of San Nicolás and Ramallo in cardio-protected cities.

We very much welcome Dr. Ulhas M Pandurangi, MD.,DM (card), Senior Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist, Institute of Cardiovascular Medicine, of the Madras Medical Mission, Chennai, India.
In India the annual incidence of Sudden Cardiac death accounts for 0.55 per 1000 population. During the World Heart Rhythm Week, the Madras Medical Mission, showed magnificent support in the global effort to educate people and make them aware of heart rhythm disorders and the importance of knowing their pulse.

Arrhythmia Alliance International *NEW* Website
Arrhythmia Alliance International are always in the process of updating and creating a more user friendly international website. With the ever increasing requests for translations, more and more countries are wishing to become affiliated to A-A. It is our responsibility and therefore priority to make sure that the awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and other heart rhythm disorders are being communicated in as many languages as possible.
Patient associations as stakeholders: a valuable partner for facilitating access to therapy

One set of important objectives of patient associations is to provide education, support, and advice to those affected by cardiac arrhythmias to ensure that they have access to appropriate diagnosis and treatment. In this perspective it is essential to establish a balanced partnership between patients and clinicians in order to facilitate the work of the patient association.
