HRUK position statement on indications for ICDs in the familial sudden cardiac death syndromes.

Dear colleague,

You are probably aware that the HRUK Position Statement on Clinical Indications for Genetic Testing in the Familial Sudden Cardiac Death Syndromes (BCS endorsed) is now available at the Heart Online First webpage (August 8th, 2007), accessible via www.bcs.com for BCS members. The HRUK Position Statement Development Group are now planning to produce a similar document addressing the issue of indications for ICDs in this patient group, assuming agreement can be reached. Perry Eliott and I are keen to get views from as many sources/disciplines as possible, and if you wish to input into this process (and I have not already asked you) please email me on clifford.garratt@cmmc.nhs.uk.

Many thanks,

Cliff Garratt
