Patient Information

Cardiovasular Disease Specialist Library

The Cardiovascular Diseases Specialist Library (CVDSL) is a component of the National Library for Health (NLH) programme, and aims to support people working in the field of cardiovascular diseases by facilitating access to information that is of high quality, relevant to NHS policy and usable in the context of clinical decision-making. Access is free and publicly available at http://www.library.nhs.uk/cardiovascular/Default.aspx

An External Reference Group of clinicians, patients and representatives of voluntary and statutory bodies including the British Cardiac Society, National Heart Forum, the Department of Health and British Heart Foundation support the CVDSL team. The ERG is chaired by CVDSL clinical lead, Professor Tom Quinn, professor of cardiac nursing at Coventry University and Consultant Cardiac Nurse at Staffordshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
