Step Two
HAVE FUN
Make sure whatever you do, you have fun!
START EARLY
If you plan well in advance you will be able to make your event or activity a great success and save yourself from any unnecessary stress.
TELL EVERYONE
Make sure you carry a sponsorship form with you at all times and email friends and family who live further away from you with a link to your Just Giving page (we can help you set this up).
SKILLS
Ask yourself, your friends and/or family if you/they have any special skills that they/you could donate, such as haircutting or cooking.
KEEP IT SAFE AND LEGAL
Make sure that you consider the safety of others when planning your event and ensure that it complies with any rules and regulations. Just download our booklet for more information.
WEAR YOUR TSHIRT
We can send you an Arrhythmia Alliance t-shirt and would encourage you to wear it at every opportunity to advertise your event and our charity – people will be intrigued as to why you’re wearing it!
SHARE YOUR STORY
If you are fundraising for a particular personal reason then tell everyone about it, it will encourage people to support you.
GIFT AID
Make sure you encourage everyone who donates to Gift Aid their donation, meaning that for every £1 they donate, an extra 28p will be given to Arrhythmia Alliance by Inland Revenue.
FUNDRAISE ONLINE
It is very simple to set up your own fundraising page online at www.justgiving.com/arrhythmia. You can then encourage people to donate online via social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter and emails.
