'Hold a Pulse Check Clinic' - medical and health care professionals may offer pulse checks at local medical centres, leisure centres, shopping centres, schools etc to teach people this simple health check action. International - World Heart Rhythm Week
World Heart Rhythm Week takes place from 8th - 14th June 2009 and brings individuals and organisations together from across the globe to raise awareness of cardiac arrhythmias.
A multitude of international, national campaigns and local ‘Know Your Pulse’ activities will help to raise awareness of cardiac arrhythmias, all under the umbrella of World Heart Rhythm Week.

National - Arrhythmia Awareness Week
Arrhythmia Awareness Week (AAAW) 8th - 14th June is an annual national campaign to educate the public on the importance of knowing their pulse. A pulse check is one of the easiest ways to detect a possible cardiac arrhythmia.

City Heart Week is once again set to coincide activities with Arrhythmia Awareness Week during 8th - 14th June. Doctors, nurses and cardiac physiologists will be talking to city workers and showing them how to monitor their pulse and spot the signs of an irregular heartbeat or arrhythmia – a silent disease which for many is easily curable but for others, if left untreated, can mean sudden death or debilitating brain injury from a stroke.
